Is it really the same people making the game if everyone outside of upper management got fired 10 years ago? Looking it up, it was not even because they had made an unsuccessful game, it was just because the CEO decided that managing a big team is hard (but did not want to quit and let someone else take over).
Bioshock’s formula is actually kinda hard to replicate, I think. Lots of games did borrow from it, but nothing really attempted replicating the whole vibe.
I’m amazed this game didn’t spawn more imitators
