It does, and this article seems ultimately very foolish. “Make sure the Nazi Party understands that we’re the good kind of Jews.” When the time comes it won’t matter what kind of documentation they have. If I had trans kids I’d be making arrangements to leave shithole places like Florida, pronto, before they put the trains into service. I don’t mean that as hyperbole. I think there is a real chance things will get that bad. Something terrible is happening to our country.
I’m torn on whether parents should stand their ground and fight or simply move for the sake of their kids.
The goal is to make LGBT move away, so that’s playing into their hands.
One might say Jews moving out of Germany in the 30s was playing into their hands. And it was, but it was also ultimately the best out of a bunch of terrible options, at least in hindsight.
