Paradoxically, the existence of atheism memes proves there is no god because what kind of god would allow atheism memes to exist. Atheism memes are like killer bees, they are very rarely fun.

As a god, fyi, I simply find y’all arguing over our existence and nature to be amusing

If you don’t like atheist memes, why are you taking time out of your day to stop and comment in a Lemmy instance literally called “atheistmemes”? Slow day at work? Here’s a tip: There’s probably plenty of Lemmy communities you have no interest in, and some you may even actively dislike, so when you come across a post like that in your feed, you can totally just keep scrolling! Try it out sometime, it isn’t hard at all! Better yet, you can simply not subscribe to it, and only show communities you’re subscribed to in your feed! Cheers!

That’s… Not really how this whole thing works… I’m not sure if you’ve noticed the rather public platform you’re on?

What does the fact that it’s public have to do with anything? It’s just basic netiquette. For example, I don’t care about My Little Pony, so you will never see me going into !mylittlepony@lemmy.ml, or whatever, and saying something like, “My Little Pony sucks… See ya, guys!”

Lol, yes, I realize I am showing my age and that is a very old term that isn’t widely used anymore, but it doesn’t detract from the point I was making. Just because it’s very common to be rude online doesn’t mean we shouldn’t at least attempt to be less so.

I’m here for the cosmic horror. Insignificance and our brief flash of life and awareness before we burn out is far more terrifying than anything Lovecraft ever imagined.
