I’ve tried it with my SO during a visit to IKEA. So when we were apart for a few minutes I was able to give an update where I am or what was interesting so look at. But in public I found it rather awkward others listening to our conversation. And now I can’t think of other use cases. So how, when, where and with whom do you use this function?

I’ve used it a couple times, but no. I usually forget it exists unless we have a specific reason to be using it. Like being in a crowd (I’m quite short and lose people very easily, and it’s quicker than texting).

It might be ok to use in my car but since I have the phone paired to the car, it doesn’t register anything from the watch. So I’d have to turn that off first and meh.

My friend would hit me up randomly over walkie talkie every now and then. It was a weird way to chat but kind of neat too.

I never really found a practical use for it. But like you say, maybe out and about and just want to quickly check in on someone without a full on call that requires both people to stay connected.

But I also don’t have a lot of people in my life who have an Apple Watch too.

Tried it when it first launched. Haven’t used it since. Feels extra dumb holding your Watch to your mouth like you’re Inspector Gadget. Just use your phone. I also never use Siri in public and I think people who walk around in public using their phone exclusively in speakerphone mode should be shot.
