I came across Juwel Cold frames 12-15 years ago. They have double wall polycarbonate for the roof and walls, which works great for about 12-15 years. Now some of them are showing signs of wear.
Those look awesome. And very light. I hadn’t thought about the little sheet plastics. I have a pile of 3/8" acrylic sheets left over from a job over a year ago that I’ve been focused on using. Some aluminum angle might be better than what I was gonna do

If you can do a double layer, it really helps the insulation. Also the coldframe has a heat driven auto-opener (like this: https://lemmy.kya.moe/imgproxy?src=tulria.com%2fwp-content/uploads/images/31RGOb9SHwS._SL500_.jpg), so it opens itself when it gets warm inside (in the morning), and closes itself when it cools off in the evening.
