Sorry if this has been asked before but I just wanted to be sure and not break the rules.

I know there are already rules in place regarding 3D (must look fictional at a glance, pass the DOST test) but is it possible to post 3D stuff on someones own created community? Or should I just avoid posting it all together? Everybody’s judgment is different, so I’m not sure how the admins would see it.

For an example, I will link to my Bae.st account- the first 4 pinned posts on my page are what I’m talking about - (NSFW) (https://bae.st/users/che_l)

Do those examples look to realistic to you?

Sorry for making this post, I just want to make sure. 👍

I agree that certain models people use (like the ones Orid used) can definitely be seen as real, as they look more like a real person, but I was more talking about characters from games that are semi stylized? Like they look like a human being but you can tell that they’re not a real person, you know?

At a quick glance I can tell they’re just 3D models. I’ll see what @Disabled@burggit.moe has to say about this since I browse /3/ a lot so my perception of what constitutes whether or not a given image looks like a 3D model or looks real is quite skewed.

Alright. And yeah, I get that everyone could see it differently. It really is kind of a “grey area” in a way.

I agree on the hyper realistic models being a bit too much, though.
