[History] 101 years ago the population exchange agreement between Turkey and Greece was implemented. It was one of the biggest resettlements of the early 20th century.
Crimean Tatar forced deportation was on such poor conditions that it could be considered genocide.
It was genocide. So was the expulsion of the Circassians from the Caucasus.
Any mass expulsion is an attempted genocide (or successful in many cases).
So many people aren’t going to drop everything and leave their homes unless something worse is implied if they choose to stay.
