Good shave. New blade was a bit harsh for my rushed shave. Good strong musky scent makes my rotation interesting.
Grapefruit!
- Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts Papa Eld with Declaration Grooming B3 knot
- Razor: Dovo Bismarck 2 (7/8", full hollow, carbon steel)
- Lather: Saponificio Varesino Desert Vetiver
- Aftershave: Saponificio Varesino Desert Vetiver
- Fragrance: Terre d’Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver
- Talc: Pinaud Clubman Finest Powder
Not the dominant note at all, I long didn’t notice the grapefruit in Desert Vetiver/Eau Intense Vétiver until last week when I sniffed it next to CB Purple Grapefruit. Now it’s just obvious. Funny how noses work.
Great setup! This is my plan for Vétiver Vendredi. I did not notice the grapefruit note until you pointed it out.

GSB is a good blade for me, but Lab Blue is still better in this razor.

I almost forgot to post this shave today. Great shave. Spiced is such a wonderful scent. It is beautifully balanced between fresh orange citrus and warm spices. I really enjoyed this today.
