Their lies are so blatant, it’s pretty clear that whenever they actually want to do something they always find a mechanism for doing it. When they tell people there’s nothing they can do, what they’re really saying is that they have no actual interest in doing it.
It’s more that both parties support an imperialist foreign policy (even if they’ll quibble on the details), while there are real partisan differences on domestic issues.
