Based on your instance you appear to be from Kerala. I’ve heard that the FOSS adoption there is much higher than rest of India. Why is it so?
I don’t know if it is higher than other Indian states, but all state schools and many Govt offices in KL use FOSS. Maybe because of this https://kite.kerala.gov.in/KITE/index.php/welcome/wedo/1

The school I studied in used Ubuntu. We mainly used GeoGebra and Geany.
Colleges here also use Ubuntu as well.
Oh nice. TIL Geogebra is FOSS. We use it as well. When I was in school we had Windows XP but idk what kids these days have.

I think Most of the time they don’t even know that they’re using FOSS or Ubuntu based OS, since most of the work is done through web applications anyway.
