Damn these trash birds…
IDK if they’re trashbirds no more… This division is probably theirs the next few years :/
Implication: There are no trashbirds in the AL East right now 😁
Ryan mf’ing Mountcastle man
A couple highlights from Blair & Barker today
- Romano is expected to need no longer than a 15-day IL stint, per Ben Wagner
- Whit Merrifield is making a case for Jays MVP this year
- Very few hitters are on the trade market right now
We could be anywhere from 1.5 to 9.5 games back after this series. To state the obvious, this series could not be more important. Splitting the series seems like a best case scenario based on our record in-division this year so far, but this would be a great time for us to really break out and start firing on all cylinders.
How I’d rate the possible series outcomes, based on Jays wins: 0 wins - why did we trade for Hicks? 1 win - playing to our in-division record. 2 wins - I’m happy. 3 wins - I’m cautiously hopeful that the Jays could make a run at the division. 4 wins - Pinch me, I’m dreaming
Oh damn. Bo was rounding 1st to 2nd on a hit and then put on the brakes to get back to first and seemed to injure himself there. He limped off the field immediately after the play. Dan said it looked like a right knee injury
Shoutout to the fan in the 3rd row behind home plate with the Blue Jays wrestling-style belt over his shoulder - that’s awesome
Let’s 👏🏽 get 👏🏽 some 👏🏽 runs 👏🏽
Oof! Tough loss. I hope Bo is alright 🥺
