You’re absolutely right. I think the issue here is that Trump screwed with the powers that be for 4 years and said powers are furious about it. And yes, he’s absolutely guilty of many crimes.
But mainstream “acceptable” politicians can get away with murder and the courts and media look the other way.
This would definitely be a case where it would be 100% legitimate to say, “I am not a criminal, therefore I have nothing to fear from this situation.”
