In my case it’s mostly digging into a specific rabbit hole of knowledge, be it video essays about the geography, or looking up a series of historical events.

Leemy.world choses what you get to see on other instances.

Tobacco pipe making. Buy a predrilled briar block for ~$35. A Dremel with a few bits to quickly get it to shape… Hand sand for 10+ hours. Oil and wax it. I very rarely smoke a pipe, usually only when around others that smoke a pipe. Think I’m on my 9th pipe. I have given most of them away but have a few I’ve kept for myself. Every once in awhile just pick them up to appreciate how nice the wood turned out.

Lately I’ve been playing Space Engineers. Holy shit can that game eat up the time.

The other day I spent ten hours drilling rock to collect enough minerals for my rover. Then I flipped the rover.

Programming, replay old pc games from the '90s, check out new music, explore business ideas, crafts, reformat a laptop and put a different OS on it, pick a Zelda game and start a replay, do paint touch-ups on the walls. Hpping to add gardening to this list this summer; getting rid of the blackberries is still ongoing.

Programming, solving complex problems (or attempting to) is like a punching bag for my brain when I just need to destress
