Is there a lot of support for Mint? I picked Ubuntu because it looked like there is more people who can help with it if I had to post a question.

Mint is Ubuntu. It’s just modified to get rid of the crap they put in there that sucks, and has a more familiar interface for windows users, as well as being easier to customize.

Most solutions from ubuntu forums worked on my mint machine because mint is based on ubuntu.

Ubuntu is pretty popular distro so you shouldn’t have any issues with lack of support and linux mint is ubuntu-based anyway so they are very similar.
