To me it seems like the last time the average person got some help was back with the New Deal in the 30s. Some minor things have been done, but overall we’ve been heading downhill since

Yes, civil rights and all that was pretty minor, huh?

Find another way to sow defeatism.

I know i glossed over civil rights, but we are quite literally killing the planet, seems like there are much bigger issues than how equally we treat people.

No, it sounds like you’re trying to sow defeatism by ignoring good things that have helped people, just like civil rights, in order to focus people instead on all the problems that have yet to be solved. So that people feel… defeated.

That or you failed all your history classes.

And how is everyone in the us doing? Living paycheck to paycheck? Barely making rent? Can’t afford healthcare? Starving kids? Seems you aren’t paying attention now

And there were are :) let’s ignore history to make that point now.

Anyone else feeling defeated reading this users posts?

Guess what? I’m suggesting tthat there are actual issues, you are ignoring them. Would you rather us not talk about the issues facing us? Seems like you want to ignore all the bad in order to not sound “defeatist”. I hope the world improves and i am waiting patiently, is that defeatist?

Guess what? You failed to prove that we didn’t solve anything substantial since the 30s. Remember that?

I personally work towards fixing problems I didn’t create, so that we all have a better world to live in (green energy and resources, engineering), at the behest of shits like you who choose to complain and sow defeatism. There are others who work just as hard and harder in other facets like you mentioned, despite what you want others to believe.

We move the needle. You try to convince others the needle hasn’t moved. Fuck off.
