The Epson TM-T88 is the standard in point of sale, you can find used ones on eBay for 100 - 150. If that’s too high, the Bixolon SPP-R200 can be found for more like 40 - 70 used, they’re pretty decent and will likely be more reliable than a no name option off amazon.
You may want to consider that thermal paper is coated in BPA though, I wouldn’t want to be handling that regularly.
