I prefer not to touch strangers so I don’t shake hands if I can get away with it. Most people are content with a smile and wave, especially since covid. I apply this to everyone, but for context I am a woman.
As a guy who doesn’t particularly like touch with anyone i’m not very close with; it’s astonishing how pushy people get or offensive people will interpret not allowing a hug. I expect it’s not super easy for you either, sympathies…from a distance lmao
I haven’t really found anything better than a retort of “please respect my boundaries” though it lacks a bit of tact. Sometimes having bugles in my hands will help though!
