    @brb @MrJameGumb [2/3] If you have a phone, a small flashlight isn’t mandatory as a survival tool, but it’s immensely useful as it’s still brighter. With my tiny light I can briefly light up a room on “turbo” to improve the lighting in a photo, check if that silhouette in the distance is a deer or a cougar (I live in a city lol), or in an emergency save my phone’s battery. The lowest brightness of this light can run for weeks.

    Your EDC can be useful for survival, work, or fulfilment.

      I don’t suggest the use of a knife for self defense. The winner of a knife fight is the one that bleeds out in the ambulance, and most people aren’t trained in how to avoid that. Most of the weapon-y looking pocketknives people post are strictly there as tools!

      If we’re being honest, they’re mostly for opening boxes, letters, cutting fruit, little mundane things. The swiss army knife is the world’s most popular style of pocketknife for a reason :)
