So I just found out one of my go-to lunch spots, Aroha (at the Press Hall) is closing down for good this week. :( It’s sad to see yet another Welly restaurant wind up, and that too a vegan one. :( Press Hall is now turning into a sorry state, with three restaurants now closed, it’s starting to look a lot like the ghost town that is Capital Market. In saying that, I do believe having four food courts on just one street is a bit overkill even for Welly, so something had to give. I just wish it wasn’t Aroha.
That’s a shame… I don’t buy lunch much in town, but have been there a few times and it was always good. Seems like it’s pretty tough for retail right now everywhere
