Former President Donald Trump mocked former President Jimmy Carter one day after it was confirmed former first lady Rosalynn Carter entered hospice care.
What’s wonderful is that the next few days are going to be full of coverage of the scandal-free Carter presidency, Carter marriage, and Carter family.
Compare and contrast this with the Trump presidency, the Trump marriages, and the Trump family – now with so many stains at this point that everything Trump just looks like the bedspread in a by-the-quarter-hour motel.

Unfortunately, I expect it to be full of coverage of Trump shitting all over Carter’s presidency, marriage, and family. Trump has never passed up the opportunity to get one last kick in on someone who’s literally on their death bed.
It’s cause and effect, lol. All Trump can see is the attention Carter will be getting, not the reason, and he has to strike back because in his warped worldview Carter is stealing eyes from him. Never mind that the reason all eyes are on Carter is because the man just lost his best friend and wife of 77 years – actually, that level of personal success at marriage probably just makes Trump hate him even more.
That’s why I think it’s fantastic that the news will be full of the Carters and the Carter legacy: Trump can’t avoid it, it will be everywhere he goes, and he can’t stand it so he has to lash out. At this point I don’t think the particular POV of the reporting will make much difference since we’ve all already made up our minds, and no one actually expects Trump to exhibit a human conscience anymore.
I just dig all the coverage because the whole thing is a wide shovel up Trump’s narcissistic, endlessly solipsist ass.
Mmm yes, let’s kick one of the last honest politicians in existence while he’s down. That’ll soften your horrific image, big boy.
