In my first and so far only foray into the new Blacksmith quest, I was at once amazed at how cool the mine area looked, and kinda confused as to what I should be doing (besides mining). Overall, awesome job, Evan!!

Then I find this huge Crystal Spire and just start hammering away at it. I was playing the Warrior with an upgraded tier-3 weapon and armor set. Fortunately I had a bunch of food and health potions because I was quickly accosted by the guardians.

I felt like I took an inordinate amount of time to finally destroy the Crystal, but the Blacksmith’s reward is WELL worth the time and effort.

So here I am on my second trip to the mines, standing in the Crystal Spire room, and I thought that before I start working on it, I’d come here and see what others have discovered as good strategies for destroying the Spire.
