ignoring them won’t make them go away because they’ll just up the stakes-- that’s exactly what Carleson is doing after he got fired. the only way to beat fascism is with united strength, and there are more of us than there are of them. the problem is that we’ve become complacent, and too many of us have come to believe we’re doing all we can or that our efforts won’t be enough-- and that’s wrong.
I love innuendo studios. I rewatch them and find new insights. It’s difficult to type what I’m thinking sometimes. I didn’t mean to wholly ignore them. I meant in discussions with other liberals/leftists. There’s too much infighting between centrists, socDems, socialists, Marxist, etc. We all agree Republicans are bad. I get disheartened when I see post after post just hating Republicans. Whose mind is it changing? It’s just hate for feels. I want discussions about what comes after the fascists lose.
While I mostly agree with you, including about the Dem leadership being what Republicans used to be, there’s a crucial aspect you’re overlooking:
The already marginalised groups that Republicans seek to eradicate don’t have the privilege to be able to just ignore the people who advocate against their rights to peacefully exist. They also can’t afford for the rest of us to ignore the stochastic terrorism that further endangers them every day.
