Azur lane is like the perfect example of just making something for a specific audience, without a single fuck given for the mythical “general audience” that so much media gets it’s wings clipped for.
Thats what i love, sadly very rare that no fucks are goven. I just wish i would enjoy games like Azur Lane more but i am completely lost on mobile games.
Fair, mobile games aren’t really everyone’s thing. Even though I’ve played since damn near launch, I rarely specifically play azur lane, as much as I open it up to play itself while I’m doing something else.
Thinking about it, most of the games I can think of that just unashamedly cater to a specific group of fans are mobile gatchas, probably because it’s the best businesses model for being sustained by a small but highly dedicated group of fans. Shame that not all of them are as generous as azur lane.
