    For the uninitiated: Those were and maybe still are the most basic but still solid printers you could get out there. They just work. Pull them out of a cupboard after two years? Works. Replace toner with cheap 3rd party stuff? Works. Connect and print without installing hundreds of MB of bloatware around the driver? Sure.

      Can vouch for Brother. My parents kept buying inkjet printers every few years, the last one was a more expensive HP one but they were always a constant source of complaint. Bought them a Brother a few years ago, they literally didn’t have a single issue with it since.
