    These “water paradoxes” where melting glaciers provide short term increased water availability is really setting these impoverished locations up for catastrophic failure

      If its momentary the real damages come in the long term. The devastation from these events are going to be cataclysmic in the areas.

    Eventually they’ll need bigger reservoirs to store rain between seasons, would take a lot of sugar-snap peas to pay for those. Another thought - are those peas coming to europe by plane ?
