I often search by local all but there are so many posts from Lemmy.nsfw. Nothing against the community but I do a lot of scrolling at work so that’s not ideal.

Is there a way to block that instance without blocking all NSFW posts? (Need to keep my shit posts lol)

I’ve slowly been blocking individual instances but if I can block the whole domain that would be ideal (this might be obvious but I can’t figure it out)

E: thanks for the advice everyone, guess I’ll keep knocking em out when they pop up.

I just turned off NSFW in settings. It doesn’t really remove all nsfw posts but it hides them so you have to click a button to show the nsfw post. Not the best solution overall but the best we have right now

Edit: the setting is called Hide NSFW

Well, you can block individual communities. So you can try blocking the biggest communities on those instances, so you probably won’t see much of them again. Or else, just stick to the Subscribed view, that’s what I do.

I really hope they add this feature. I’d love to block all of lemmygrad.ml so I can stop seeing russian/Chinese propaganda and pro-genocide bullshit any time I scroll for too long.

Only by admins. You can only block communities. You might consider switching to an instance that blocks porn if you don’t want it.

No problem! I’m glad to see the activity. I saw a place to change language from the default ‘unspecified’ or something, but a warning said ‘don’t change your language from ‘unspecified’ or you won’t see any content’ or something like that, so I left it. I’ll go look again, thanks
