An open air prison that is 40% children who literally have never seen an election and have been collectively punished for actions taken by adults before the children were even born.

They have never known a world where you could build a home, work a job, and eat fresh fruit. They have never known human rights, and they have never had any consent in their government.

Palestine is a concentration camp of orphan children and a few random adults. Most of the people there have never known anything other than brutality and privation, and they are told they deserve it because of the sins of fathers long since dead.

Sins of fathers long since dead? Bud, what’s happening right now is because of sins and atrocities from this week,

Hamas hides among these civilians as they fight a guerilla war. Do they bear no responsibility for endangering said children?
What about the parents who choose to stay in such a place and raise children there, where the genocidal elected government is launching attacks against civilians in a much stronger nation they can’t hope to defeat? The inevitable retaliation shouldn’t come as a surprise to them at this point.

It’s terrible that innocent people get hurt in war, but that doesn’t imply that retaliation isn’t appropriate. Not retaliating has its own risks, that of incentivizing further attacks and bolstering enemy morale.

Gaza isn’t a concentration camp because they can leave. Although it is temporarily closed, the door to Egypt has been wide open for some time for those who want out. When your government’s stated goals include genocide and refusing to negotiate in favor of jihad against an enemy they cannot reasonably defeat, perhaps it’s time to GTFO.

The only viable victory condition for Palestine is to negotiate a peace with terms they won’t like, otherwise they will keep fighting an unwinnable guerilla terrorist war at great cost to themselves, as their lands ebb away one settlement at a time.

So the children who are locked in prisons they can’t leave are forced the bear the weight of the actions of others?

          Very logical conclusions you have

That’s how the world works and always has worked, children inherit their situation from their parents. Let’s not pretend it doesn’t. I need not like it to acknowledge it.

It sounds like your condoning punishing children for the actions of their parents.

The actions of Hamas are unconscionable and evil, but if you claim Israel is justified in punishing a million children for an election that took place before they were born then it sounds like you are accidentally justifying the actions of Hamas too.

It sounds like you’re justifying genocide as a response to genocide.

No, I’m saying terrorists can’t operate with impunity because they hide behind children. Punishing children is not the point of military retaliation against Hamas, and the fact that children exist in Gaza does not justify letting systemic murder of civilians go unpunished.

Sometimes minimizing deaths and maintaining public safety means deterring violence with violence, even if collateral damage may occur.

Just so you’re aware, you’re saying that Isreal is allowed to target children because hamas targeted children. Did you trace it back to the very first child death or did you start your tally this week?

No I am not. Israel is not targeting non-combatant children. Sometimes people who are not the intended target get hit anyway, that’s called collateral damage. I guess hiding behind children thereby ensuring they get killed garners sympathy for their cause with you. This perspective encourages them to keep doing it.

So less than 50% of Palestinians elected a party, and they haven’t had another election in almost 20 years.

I guess they deserve to be shelled and blockaded. /s

To reward you with the same treatment and reduce your opinion to an absurdity, are you saying an army with kids strapped to their chests would be invincible and allowed to kill whoever they choose with no consequence?

There is absolutely a difference between targeting civilians on purpose, and not being able to avoid some civilian casualties while targeting an army/militia that is purposefully using their proximity to civilians as a shield.

Congratulations, you took my response and went so reductionist with it that it no longer resembles anything I wrote.

There’s a difference between collateral damage and intentionally targeting civilians. If you can’t see that your bias is showing.

I’ve learnt that it’s pointless trying to gently and politely disabuse idiots of their entrenched views. Instead it’s only ever worth highlighting their bigotry for passersby so they don’t get duped.

You telling me your government has never done a morally reprehensible thing you didn’t support? Or are you divinely insulated from the ‘justice’ of being bombed and deprived of basic human rights?

                  You’re despicable.
