This is just a pattern I’ve noticed, everything posted that’s relating to the Ukrainian military losing troops gets downvoted to oblivion.
We’re here for combat footage. That’s combat footage. It makes me uncomfortable because it makes me sit with the very real reality of the war we’re witnessing in a way no humans ever have.

I agree, and for them to downvote without explanation is additionally shitty.
I understand there is a fear of it becoming an outlet for Russian propaganda. However I argue that even if you support Ukraine it’s important to keep track of the losses,
-To understand and respect the sacrifice that Ukranians are suffering in stopping the Russians.
-To get a have a realistic understanding an impression of the war and realize this is not a game where Ukraine is always winning. We need to have realistic expectations for Ukraine.
Trust me, you don’t want me you don’t want to think Ukranian is winning only to find out they’ve been dealt a shitty blow and it turns your worldview upside down. As happened with me with the Azeri-Armenian war.
What about instead, if your worldview was flipped upside down when I tell you Ukraine after the USSR and basically up until this war has been the world’s largest exporter of illegal arms?
That they have been funding our enemies for 30 years in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
So when we’re talking about realistic expectations for Ukraine, why is it acceptable we send billions of dollar to this comm block country while people go shelter-less and jobless in the US? Why are Ukrainians more important than our own border? Why is Ukraine more important to senile Joe than the American public?
Strawman, we weren’t fixing homelessness and joblessness before the conflict. And the people shouting about stopping Ukraine funding are the least likely to care about those things anyway.
Show me a conservative politician that put forth any kind of program to help the homeless. I’ll wait.
Ah so what you interpret as lack of domestic plans for the monies, you see as proof positive that the money instead should be sent overseas to fight euro wars.
Ok, well there are programs in place I could think of a million. They are in California and dozens of states. Lots of it does trickle down federally. But of course you knew that.
There’s also a very good case to harden schools against active shooters. Mexico has done it since the 80s for fucks sake. That money could come from federal grants. There are things in motion to get this done.
But you don’t care about any of those things. All you care about is perpetuating the myth that Russia is our biggest enemy.
You have no clue geopolitically or fiscally. But you keep finding things and people to demonize.

What was this money being slated for prior to the war? And are there any bills on the table to reappropriate that money for homelessness or our boarders? Have any proposals been shot down that could have moved forward had that money been there?
