The EU needs teachers. 40 percent are over 50 years old, salaries are not attractive enough, classes are very large, and the work-life balance has become more problematic since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Not enough freedom to teach the way they want to, entitled parents who think their precious child can do no wrong, too many children per classroom, insufficient budget.
Not paid enough. Not given respect for their work. I think there might be even more.
