I had Robbins forced on me as a child and no, I dont like it because it’s hokey af. However, I also know that Marty Robbins is the reason that we got the fuzz pedal, which led to classic rock and roll and heavy metal.
Big Iron is cool within the context of fallout new vegas but I never cared about that song as it’s own thing. I find King of the Road annoying but that’s probably my dad’s fault for playing it any time we drove anywhere for any reason.
My boundary for that has exceptions these days. This post fits, though, because those exceptions are like Shania Twain and… Ween.
I still don’t care about rap because I can’t read while I’m listening to it. I have few objections. I just don’t know shit about it, and I’m unlikely to learn shit about it.
I like everything but rap and country and there’s nothing the internet can do to change that.
