I’d say red, pink, or light blue.
Those are all good colors too! Though I think those are more design dependent, at least for determining if I like the characters. However, I will say that they are definitely colors which have a tendency to boost the overall appeal of a character for me, much like green and blonde hair girls do.

Pink and blue. I don’t remember the progenitor of the pink, but I distinctly remember blue with Sasami/Tsunami from Tenchi Muyo. Honestly, probably played into with Washu for pink/red-ish.
For males I like natural colors best, for females I like pink best.
