I just wanna be able to hold down on an image, copy it, and paste it to my buddies for the lulz. But no, I get a link when I copy it. No one goes to links. And I’m not sharing memes and telling people where they can find more because of it.

I used Voyager, and it lets you do this. So does Boost, and I’m sure a bunch of others. Since they’re using the web interface, it’s could even be OP’s choice of mobile browser that’s the problem.
