Yeah, putting out this statement pretty much is their only recourse since we’re living under laws that a) allow the wealthy to throw a super PAC sock puppet over their hands and demand we act like that sock puppet is a totally independent and separate thing b) think that the only cognizable damages that can be done to a work of art all have strictly monetary values (I honestly don’t know if I would want to change that second one, but it does almost feel like it should be a crime for campaigns to abuse Born in the USA, Rockin in the Free World, etc., because that shit is gonna give me a stroke someday).
