Oh, you are right… I think I now understand what happened. I uploaded the image from a mobile device using a reader app. I thought that uploading an image would work as it does in a web browser, that it would upload it directly to the burggit server. I guess what happened is the app automatically hosted it on imgur and put in the link for me.
The app did not make it clear that this would happen. Somewhat burned by this experience…
Yeah I never signed in to imgur at any point so if anything they’ll block API access for the app or something. At least I didn’t post something seriously spicy
The title URL goes to imgur, that’s where the image is being hosted. Did you not paste https://lemmy.kya.moe/imgproxy?src=i.imgur.com%2f5uP4LXH.png into the URL field when making this post?

The image is cached on burggit, so it should probably be fine. Not sure if imgur would block you or something though.
