minus-squareredpen@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up6arrow-down2·1 year agoSeems comparable. And you would only be opening one and losing energy for half of the total volume when doing it this way.

Typical mini fridges have an average volume of 2.5 to 3 cubic feet. So approximately one sixth the volume for half the electrical consumption is not a worth trade.
minus-squareBrkdncr@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up4·1 year agoYou don’t lose half of the volume when you open a fridge door. The “cold” is stored in the items inside the fridge.
minus-squareRagglemcsnics@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up4·1 year agoWhile yes you’re very right, that also assumes you have the fridge packed full.
minus-squareBrkdncr@kbin.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up4·1 year agoIf you’re interested in saving electricity, you should. Even if it’s just a pot of water. Empty refrigerators run constantly.
minus-squareskepticalifornia@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 year agoAgreed, probably a little more efficient to use the 2 mini fridges.
