probably because he’s right wing and at the time twitter had lots of open minded and left wing users. for his billionaire bros, he will force people out, so they can’t discuss reasonable thoughts or turn to facebook etc, where their opinion can be manipulated more easily.
This gives him too much credit. He tried to back out of the purchase after overvaluing it like an idiot, and I think now he’s just fucking around with it while he’s there.
