An intelligent, reasoned administration would have identified that it was a bad idea to, you know, kill the citrus industry. It would proposed and passed a comprehensive multi-year plan to phase out immigrant labor and potentially worked with the federal government to create work program visas like they do out west. Did they do that? No. Why? Because they’re idiots.
