Today was Aortic Aneurysm Awareness Day. Hypertension can weaken arteries and cause aneurysms (aortic or otherwise) to rupture. Be aware of family history of sudden death or arterial dissection and hypertension. If anyone has had these, get your children, siblings, and parents checked out too and consider meeting with a geneticist if you’re unusually young.
