This is less of a question for the local ownership, more of one for other folks here to check the temperature of the room.

I’ve been having troubles subscribing to communities on lemmy.ml, just getting stuck at “subscribe pending”. I figure they’re probably overwhelmed but I’m also new to Lemmy and am curious if other folks are seeing similar troubles. Is it just our instance?

    I have stuff from 2 days ago that’s still pending, I’m pretty sure their servers are just overloaded.

    It’s not just you. They’re overloaded and their federation queue is hours behind (if not broken entirely).

    Thankfully, lemmy.world seems to be gaining favor during all these lemmy.ml outages, meaning the content doesn’t have to die just because lemmy.ml is offline. Benefits of federation :)
