I’ve definitely turned into the paranoid nutcase within my friend group in recent years, I hate that everything is “smart” nowadays requiring an app/internet connection & account, just to do basic things that didn’t require any of that before.

It’s the stupid dares you’d witnessed on the playground but brought to a global scale. Bigger the audience, bigger the stunt.
As an older GenZ I’ve learnt not to underestimate the power of clout or what people will do for it.
yeah, I have been saying that for awhile now even before TikTok was popular and I got the same reactions you do. It’s frustrating and its like I have to just watch everything get ruined.
