Mine are The UrQuan Masters and Mass Effect (the original trilogy anyway) Havent played Starfield yet so wondering if that will measure up.
So whats yours?
I’d have to go with Stellaris, either the base game or any of the Star Trek mods, it’s got it all space battles, diplomacy, Galaxy wide Geo politics, Even doing research based on observing primitive cultures, highly recommended.
I never got into Stellaris, but I saw that they have a Star Trek offshoot releasing next month.
Thx :)
Spaceteam has to be the most realistic star trek simulator, right??
Mass Effect is pretty top tier for me too. I know you said Trek-like but Star Trek Bridge Crew is a ton of fun. Or at least it was. Number of players has ramped down significantly after Ubisoft dropped support.
Ever play Star Trek Online?
I have a bit, it started off really nicely and then, for me, nosedived into ridiculous chaos and dull grinding. Neither of which felt anything like what I hoped from a Star Trek game.
Ive heard that from everyone I asked about STO, so I’ve never even tried it
Yeah, I really really wanted to like it, but it was so bad I’m still salty about it … mostly because of wasted potential
They’re right. I play it because I like flying around in my Crossfield but the game is a super grind. Story stuff is fun though.
I’m surprised that no one’s mentioned NMS.
If that means No Mans Sky, I have it on the Switch but haven’t cracked it yet
Check it out, it’s really good now!
Yeah everyone tells me the Switch version is awesome
Yeah, I’m almost 200 hundred hours in to nms. It’s more than double the time I have in any other game
FTL
Especially with some of the star trek mods
Star Fleet Academy (I know you said like but still)
I need to play that eventually
I mean I was into the old test-based Trek game for a while.
Artemis is fun. Get a bunch of nerds in a room, do star strek stuff. There’s a bunch of Artemis knock offs but I don’t know that any have really beat the OG.
