    Bingo. This is exactly how I feel about those oversized emotional support vehicles we call “trucks”. My company uses trucks like that to haul around thousands of pounds of materials to various jobs sites.

    What the fuck does average Joe need one for? To move this various toys around once year. Those things are extremely dangerous and you should be required to have a CDL to purchase and drive one.

    Adding bike lanes and changing laws to accommodate bikes doesn’t do shit because I was on a “bike road” and still got creamed by one of those things from behind.

      Bike infrastructure needs physical separation. Bollards separating lanes at minimum. The average Joe would be financially WAY better off just renting trucks when they need one.

        Yeah they didn’t do that. They just put up a sign that says “share the road” and that this is “an official bike road”. The road I got hit on doesn’t even have the white line.

        Better to not need to share the road at all and just have walkable citys with smaller road with squigles in the more urban places to prevent speeding
