Biblically accurate hand turkey
I hear people say “biblically accurate” all the time, but I always wondered where in the Bible does it actually dictate, accurately, what the hell some of these demonic-looking angels look like?
So there’s a few different types of angels described in the old testament. This forum post cites some of the descriptions. The Ophanim description from Ezekiel is the stranger one. Here’s a link to the Amplified translation that I like to use to get a better idea of the source.
The pop culture idea that a dead human’s soul becomes an angel is a much later creation that is nowhere in the bible. 1. Angels are their own kind of being, humans don’t become angels. 2. The old testament describes the appearance of several different types or species of angel, the description of which sound like someone writing down an acid trip. One is described as “wheels within wheels covered in eyes.”
