Extremists on both sides hate people in the middle. As long as extremists hate me I know I’m in the right place.

I like being a centrist because I then don’t have to take a stand for anything and I can lord it over others with the maximum amount of smug.

What is the position the “middle” takes on an issue of “murdering trans” vs. “allowing trans to exist”?

Just make sure that extremists hate you for the right reasons. You can be a passive centrist or an active centrist, you can either not take a stance on anything or try to learn from both sides. I think most people only consider passive centrists and that’s where the downvotes come from.

Not sure I can control whether someone hates me. I think most centrists would be considered passive as compared to the extremists on either end. I don’t know too many hardcore moderates.
