Well, it’s filthy and worn out looking. And do you not see the man throwing the, “Fuck you want?” eyeball?

Wat? There’s no trash on the floor and no grafitti on the wall. The guy’s dressed like he just got off work and stopped in for a quick game. Of course he’s saying “wtf you want”, he’s being distracted from his game of Duck Hunt.

Where I grew up we had a few options. There was the mom and pop video rental store that had Street Fighter II Championship Edition, Mortal Kombat, and would routinely switch out the third cabinant. A couple doors down the mom and pop pizza shop had X-Men. and TMNT. So I mean we had probably 4 of the most popular Arcade games right next to each other. spent so much of my paper route money in those places.

We also had an arcade/pool hall further into town. Their big thing was when they got Mortal Kombat II in RIGHT when it came out. my friends and I would ride our bikes a good 30min just to go play it. You could also have birthday parties there where they would allow you to play all the games “for free” god knows how much that cost our parents. everyone wanted their parties there just to play MKII for hours on end. Oh they also had Primal Rage which was a personal favourite of mine.

Other than that the Zellars in town had The Simpsons and Super Mario Bro.

The element of sketch was always directly proportional to the amount of anger and physicality that popped up as games ended. The angry shouting, slapping/punching the arcade cabinets, shaking the pinball games, that’s a sign of people with problems.
