Everything deserve some amount of minimal respect in a civilized society
Hard disagree. There are tons of things that deserve no respect (racism, sexism) despite being considered inherent parts of civilized societies until extremely recently. Well, for the most part they are discouraged now, but are still very widespread and often justified using religion.
Extremists like those are not culture, those are just degeneration of poor ideal or plain ignorance. What I intended was to keep a civilized approach to other beliefs. Pissing on a cross in a church is what I call “EXTREMISM”.
