I have no idea what our rotation order is these days. I was guessing either Berríos or Bassitt was pitching tonight. I’m excited to see Yusei! I think Yusei would probably start in a 3-game series against the Os given how many lefties they have. Of their 8 best hitters (OPS+ of ~115 or better), 3 are lefties and 3 are switch hitters (although I don’t know if they prefer one way or another: Rutschman, Santander, Hicks). I think Rutschman is primarily right, that’s how he started in the home-run derby anyway
Os OPS vs. Lefty pitching: .769
Os OPS vs Righty pitching: .733
So this might actually be the worst matchup of the series, even considering how well Kikuchi has been doing.
I love the data-driven argument 😎! I’m not swayed though lol :P. If I guessed the series’ pitchers right here I’ll predict that Yusei has the lowest ERA of Berríos and Bassitt. I’ll guess Berríos has next best
😂 Looks like it’s Gaus tomorrow and Berrios on Thursday - any updated predictions? 😂😂
Yeah, but I’m going down with the ship, even after all the hard contact and 1 run on the Kooch 😂: Kikuchi > Gausman > Berríos
I think we can all agree we have the pitching regardless who we throw out there. It’s our lineup that needs to produce in a series like this. Just have to score more than they do. Easy right? So far so good!
Good pun! Yeah, our lineup sure needs to show up. I’m like SpongeBob in your gif during the Os 1-5 at the plate
Ok we’ll revisit this after Thursday’s game 😂
