    They said multi-unit rental buildings were “unfairly classified as commercial properties. As of 2021, they are now considered, residential properties.”

    I guess the next question is “Why do commercial properties pay so much less in property tax?”

    Okay that’s just crazy. $17,000 on top of a state income tax for a 1-bedroom apartment. I’m in Texas and we have higher property taxes because of no state income tax, but even I’m only paying $12K a year and that’s on a half a million dollar 3 bedroom house. Not a tiny 1-bedroom apartment.
