The astronauts aren’t stranded, the teams just want to study the thrusters on-orbit, since they can’t study them afterwards. Humour at Boeing’s expense is quite popular at the moment though.

A few weeks ago, someone was trying to convince me that Boeing’s space division isn’t experiencing the same issues as the commercial plane division because they’re managed differently. Lolz…
Because they’re not. Plus this is an official NASA mission and Boeing has had to meet NASA specs the whole time. Test flights are just that too. The whole point of this exercise is to find any and all possible issues before giving the craft it’s final approval for standard missions.
At least they didn’t outsource the manufacturing to Spirit.
