I have a workaround solution that worked for me: enter an email address, even a fake one like aaa@bbb.xyz, then save the change. Now, erase the address, click on “Delete Account”, and the page shouldn’t reload because a missing email error (don’t have the exact formulation in mind) should be notified. After inputting your password in the new textbox asking for it, don’t forget to re-enter the mail address before confirming the deletion.
